KAREN & GORDEN STEWART 

 

These two elders trace their root back to Guyana and give us an insight into how Pre Migration from Guyana and how Post Migration to High Wycombe has influenced their music taste and how the old folk music is still alive today.

Also coming from Guyana, this couple was quite influenced by the surrounding countries such as Jamaica, Trinidad and America. Their music styles such as Reggae, Calypso and Jazz had a great influence on both Karen & Gorden and even influences from England - showing their wide and diverse musical appreciation and knowlege.
